Jesse Colin Young

For 50 years Jesse Colin Young has been singing songs about peace, relationships and the environment. From his folk days in Boston and his first record, Soul Of a City Boy, he has articulated and recorded the tumultuous times of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s to the present, while reminding us that it is all about family, community and the precious natural world we live in. His musical style is now considered Americana, but in fact it's his unique fusion of jazz, blues, folk and rock with an emphasis on his extraordinary voice that makes his signature sound.

Jesse’s career is best defined by his recording of Get Together with the Youngbloods. In 1969 this one song pivoted him onto the stadium and outdoor concert scene. His touring schedule was with the rock band A-listers of the era: Led Zeppelin, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Doors, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, The Beach Boys,The Allman Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Van Morrison and many others.

Sivan Arbel

Sivan Arbel, a young Israeli singer, arranger and composer arrived at the New York City Jazz scene in November 2014 and has not looked back since.

She has begun to make her mark in the NYC jazz scene, performing on stages across the city with her passion to spread music and love to the world. With her new album release Broken Lines. she is driven to take off with her septet and perform among new crowds and ears.

On June 1, 2016, Sivan released her debut album "Broken Lines", which instantly received international recognition and media coverage. In his extensive review, Travis Rogers, Jr. – The Jazz Owl wrote: "’Broken Lines’ is a wonder. Sivan Arbel has captured love and longing, respect and reflection, and then set loose an emotional and lyrical watercolor that remains fresh and lively long after the album has ended. To transmit such joy—and for it to remain so long after—must be the greatest gift one can give. So it is with Sivan, she imparts joy and it remains." Since the release of Broken Lines, Sivan has been invited to tour in Canada, Israel, Russia and venues across New York City. Most notably, Sivan appeared at the 2016 Jazz Composers Series during the annual Montreal Jazz Festival, and was selected to be featured in the prestigious International Music Showcase in Jerusalem. 

Fluorescent Collective

JennHwan Wong's 8-piece Fluoroscent Collective is an East meets West, Boston, Massachusetts-based instrumental world fusion band that features both students and graduates of Berklee College of Music from South East Asia, USA, and Europe. Formed in 2015, the band performs original compositions by its members and fusion covers influenced by jazz, world music, film score, blues, soul, prog, pop and funk. An ecclectic brew of cultures and personalities, the Fluoroscent Collective sets out to bring forward an environment that allows musicians to give and grow, backed by beautiful live arrangements and musical interplay.

Fluorescent Collective will be performing at the 2017 Borneo Jazz Festival in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia.
